Firestone Tires

Founded by Harvey Firestone in 1900, the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company originally supplied pneumatic tires for wagons, buggies, and other forms of wheeled transportation common in the era. Firestone soon saw the huge potential for marketing tires for automobiles and helped his company pioneer the mass production of tires. Firestone used such relationships he developed to become the original equipment supplier of Ford Motor Company automobiles, while also becoming active in the replacement market at the same time. In 1988, Firestone was purchased by the Bridgestone Tire Company.

For touring vehicles, Firestone developed the Affinity Touring tire series. This tire offers sharp looks without a premium price. It has been manufactured with a solid center rib coupled with an optimized shoulder element angle and shape which delivers a quiet ride. In addition, it is equipped with wide flow-through grooves which contribute to a good wet performance.

Firestone developed the FR380 tire series for passenger vehicles. This tire is a one touch tire, no matter what weather condition, whatever surface it may be, this tire will deliver every time. This tire was designed so that the tread design channels water away to enhance wet traction along with biting edges which give you the added advantage of grip in snow and other wet conditions. This tire is not only a quality tire but is available for a very reasonable price.

Finally, for Light Truck vehicles Firestone offers the Destination A/T with UNI-T Technology. This all terrain LT was developed for drivers who want to go wherever the road may lead—from city streets to the heart of the countryside. The Destination A/T with UNI-T Technology is built to adapt to travel in wet or dry weather conditions and gives you an extra measure of confidence in handling and braking on those rainy days. This all terrain tire has additional added technology that produces a quiet and comfortable ride.
